13 Values

Group Governance:

  1. Our common welfare should come first; intimacy depends upon group unity.
  2. Our leaders are trusted servants; they do not govern.
  3. Our group has one ultimate authority—Jesus as He express’s Himself through the Word and our brothers.
  4. Our only requirement for group association is commitment to owning the Truth about ourselves, others and Jesus.
  5. Our group should be autonomous except in matters affecting men’s groups as a whole.
  6. Our group has but one primary purpose—to carry the message of who we are as men in Christ body spirit soul and physically.
  7. Our group ought never endorse, finance, or lend the “Men Danger Close” name to any related facility or outside enterprise, lest problems of money, property, and prestige divert us from our primary mission.
  8. Every “Men Danger Close” group ought to be fully self-supporting, and will decline outside contributions.
  9. “Men Danger Close” should remain forever non-professional, but our group may employ/refer to professional workers as needed.
  10. “Men Danger Close”, as such, should never be organized; but we may create service boards or committees directly responsible to those we serve.
  11. “Men Danger Close” has no opinion on outside issues; hence the “Men Danger Close” name should never be drawn into public controversy.
  12. Our public relations policy is based on attraction rather than promotion; we need always to maintain personal anonymity at the level of press, radio, and films.
  13. Anonymity is the spiritual foundation of all our values, ever reminding us to place Biblical principles before personalities.
